Did some jumping with Ellie. Our confidence is building as we get to trust each other. Finished up jumping 1M with Ellie - and that was jumping into the rain.
Because my summer field is flooded, I've been put back in the winter field. Nothing like as much grass, here but at least I can eat without having to put my head under a foot of water. Hopefully the water will go down soon and I can get back to that lovely summer grass.
Lucy and Ellie had me jumping for almost an hour today. I had great fun but was tired by the end of it.
The river overflowed today and flooded my field. We all had to be rescued and spent rest of the day in our stables. Went out for a hack later and had to wade through lots of flooded paths. Difficult to understand how some of my friends haven't been allowed a bath for the last few weeks because of a hosepipe ban !!
Although I got a clear round today, I think that my rider wasn't happy with me. Sorry !
I'm not used to this weather. Being outside where I can stretch my legs and have my fill of luscious grass is great but the rain and storms recently. I don't remember it being like this in Holland.
Went on the 7 mile BHS charity fun hack at Rockbourne today. What fun. I just wanted to run around for joy but Ellie was a bit more sensible and wanted to chat with her friends on the way round. I can't wait for another one.
Went out in the new trailer today for first time. I was well behaved both ways - although obviously I had to christen it. Smells much better now - it was way too clean smelling before.
Moved to summer fields today. OMG. So much grass. Good job I didn't get to field until the afternoon - I couldn't stop myself munching on it. I know that I'm going to have to take care. If I don't show some restraint I might get muzzled - but that's still better than being locked up in the barn all day. Hooves crossed I can be good.
