Had a nice hack around Moors Valley today, but Ellie gave me a bit of a workout on the hills. I think she wants to build up my hind quarters for jumping.
Tamar took us for a hack and showed us around Parley Common. Couldn't beleive the amout of traffic on the roads.
Went for a hack today but Ellie was walking with me - she wasn't riding. I later realised it was her mum and sister who took turns having a ride.
After a clear round, I got a double clear in class 1 with the second fastest time, finishing just behind a BSJA horse and rider. Got £5 for 2nd place.
Grass was a bit slippery under hoof so we had to keep the speed down, but nevertheless still managed(:
1) A clear round; (2) 3rd in class 1 team event; (3) 3rd in class one as an individual; (4) 2nd in class 2 team event. I was particularly proud that I wasn't phased by the big wall - which was new to me. I think my confidence with Ellie and hers with me is getting better. Today went out in friends horsebox rather than the trailer. Ramp was a bit steeper than used to but hardly noticed as I was being distracted by a handful of treats. Mum called the vet out to check my watery eye today. Thankfully all OK - just a bit of conjunctivitis - but whatever the vet slipped me before the checkups was powerfull and almost knocked me out. I think he'll give me a pony dose next time.
Ellie tried really hard tonight to make some frightening jumps, but I did everything asked of me - despite how imaginative her dad was with the wings, poles, planks, fillers . . .
Two days on the trot - no breakfast. Yesterday one of the other horses got out of their and helped themselves to my breakfast, and last night Ellie made my breakfast but forgot to put it outside my stable for this morning.
