New Forest Hack

Went out for day to the New Forest.

It was all a bit new for me.  I didn't know what to make of it.  Where was the arena?  Where were the jumps? 

Took a while to settle down, I could feel the adrenaline pumping round, all the new sights, lots of wild horses grazing.

Nevertheless, soon settled down once Ellie was aboard and we went for a lovely hack.  It was a bit boggy and icy in places, but the open spaces were great.

I wasn't too sure about crossing through the streams as I've not done too much of that.  It also looked a bit cold  -  it is December !!  But I was happy using the bridges.

We found a couple of natural obstacles to jump over  -  some logs and ditches.  That was fun.

Ellie also found some steep slopes for me to canter up.  Not quite so fun but sure it was good for me.

When we got back to the trailer I got lots of hugs and treats for being such a good girl.
